Who is Sarah Potter?
This isn’t just another style blog. This is my life through the lens of fibromyalgia and a collection of beautiful and comfortable pieces anyone will love.
Hey there! I am a style writer, health advocate, and giant nerd. A little over a year ago I went to the ER with debilitating chest pain thinking I was having a heart attack only to learn over a year later I had a chronic illness known as Fibromyalgia. Since my diagnosis, I have been learning to find the balance between ambition and self-care. On this blog I’m sharing my thoughts, opinions, experiences with Fibromyalgia, and ways to keep your heart happy.
I became a single mom at the age of 26 after surviving an abusive relationship. I then spent the next four years building a social media marketing firm and decided this year to set it a blaze and embrace the flames. I’m working on rising from the ashes and building something I truly enjoy.
That brings us to Red. I founded this styling consultancy so I could empower women to rediscover their fabulous bodies and radiate confidence. In 2016, I had been grinding away at my business for a year, isolated, alone, overweight, and not loving myself the way I should have been. So, I decided one day that I would go shopping in a store called Evereve. I walked in, greeted by trained stylists, and was given what felt like a makeover for my soul.
I loved the way that first shopping trip made me feel. The styling, treatment, and experience I had been given that day have never left me. Two years later I began working a few styling shits here and there and helped other women like you rediscover themselves and be proud of their bodies.
As women, we are under so much pressure to look a certain way, act a certain way, and be a certain kind of person. I reject every bit of that and say: “HELL NO! Let us be free, and fierce, and boldy us.”
Your color might not be red, but who you are deep down, is.
